The stony earth felt cold on her paws as she scaled the craggy mountainside. This secluded place of rock and shadows had seemed to find her, nay, to call to her, as she wandered aimlessly through the wilderness. She paused in her tracks and looked back over her shoulder.
Nothing. She saw nothing but hills of boulders, skeletal trees, and wisps of dust stirred up by the icy wind.
A sick grin formed on her muzzle, distorting the scars on her face and making them glisten in the half-light.
Nothing. She never thought that nothing could be so beautiful.
